Simply Fit by Bel started as a place where I could keep myself accountable to my fitness and mental health goals back in 2017 and has evolved into a place that helps women Find (their) Inner Truth.

My love affair with myself began in November 2016 when I was at one of the lowest points in my life and I decided that I was done selling myself short and something in my life had to change!

I reached rock bottom in 2016 when I was working in a retail store and juggling a job in education and my life just began to spiral out of control.

At the time, I was just understanding how my childhood trauma affected me as an adult and I was truly unaware of how mentally broken I was. I was so busy trying to run from my life altogether that I didn’t really understand that Universe was actually calling out to me.

I started going to the gym on and off around that time although I started to feel more love and confidence within myself. I realized that something else was still missing. I still wasn’t trusting myself and I still had a pretty stinky mindset. I still wasn’t mentally tough enough to commit to understanding what the Universe was trying to teach me until November 2017.

My new body meant nothing if my mind was still stuck in the same place I started at. My mind still hadn’t healed from my past and because of it, I couldn’t fully commit to the new future I was building. I believe that is when the Universe started speaking to me through my health journey. One day, in particular, I was working out in the gym and to be honest I was more focused on completing the exercises because I wanted to have a sexy body (that’s called the rep and set mentality) but I was beginning to get frustrated at the journey because I felt like I wasn’t seeing any results even though I was trying my best every time.

A soft whisper that I could barely hear.

Trust the process. It’s the most important part of the journey. If you trust the process, you will see results.

So here I am following my spirit and sharing my message with the world.

So here’s what you can expect from me:

  • I will help you discover and build your inner grit while working out your mind just as much as your body.
  • I will always let you know the WHY and science behind every exercise. You are my student, not my client.
  • I will always meet you where you are but I will expect you to push yourself.
  • I will always be your biggest cheerleader because when you win, I win.
